When visiting London one of the most important things to do is to catch a show and soak up the unique atmosphere. London is massively cultural and offers many shows across various different genres. The cities West End is the biggest theatre district in the world, with many large international stars performing night after night. The area is also world famous for its excellent range of theatres, shopping, hotels and attractions. Here are a few of the shows available in London at the moment.

· Matilda the musical

Roald Dahl is a national institution and his novel 'Matilda' has been turned into a west end musical. The musical tells the story of a child prodigy who is unwanted and unloved by her hideous parents. Matilda’s parents don’t understand her love for literature and encourage her and her brother to veg out in front of the television. When Matilda finally goes to school she finds comfort in her teacher Miss Honey. However she also comes face to face with the horrid, child-hating headmistress Miss Trunchbull. The performance is extremely magical and enchanting and is a huge hit for adults and children alike.
